Keble, Thomas, 1793-1875

Born in Gloucestershire, son of Rev John Keble, Vicar of Coln St Aldwns, younger brother of Rev John Keble jnr, educated at Christ Church, Oxford, took Holy Orders 1816, Vicar of Bisley, Gloucs 1827-73.

Prèvost, George, 2nd baronet, 1804-1893

Born at Roseau, Dominica, son of Lt General Sir George Prèvost, 1st Baronet Entered Oriel in 1821, B.A. 1825, succeeded to the baronetcy in 1816. He was a pupil and friend of Keble, and became a keen supporter of the Oxford Movement, though always on the more moderate side. In 1828 he married Isaac Williams's sister Jane, and became curate to Thomas Keble at Bisley. He took the living of Stinchcombe, Gloucs., in 1834 and remained there for the rest of his life, Honorary Canon of Gloucester Cathedral from 1859. He translated St Chrysostom on Matthew for the Library of the Fathers.
